Lot 1 - Mt Mable 1569

This bull catches the eye of all who view the mob and has done so since weaning - quality bull.

Lot 2 - Mt Mable 1503

A larger framed bull with lots of meat. Super quiet attitude.

Lot 3 - Mt Mable 1539

190 an older larger framed cow that has been flushed to Kaharau Clarion - very happy with those calves - 1539 a quality bull.

Lot 4 - Mt Mable 1507

Stylish Captain bull who scanned very impressively for all traits measured.

Lot 5 - Mt Mable 1540

We retained 384's 2014 bull for our own use.

Lot 6 - Mt Mable 1514

All of Abba's previous 4 bull calves have been sold at auction for an average of $10,050. We have retained a 2015 Braveheart E/T bull and have 2016 E/T calves to Kaharau Clarion. Abba has been a stand out cow. 1514 is Kevin's pick.

Lot 7 - Mt Mable 1529

Larger framed bull with plenty of grunt. Gauge's previous bull calf was sold in 2014 for $12,000.

Lot 9 - Mt Mable 1542

Another good Captain with a very strong cow family behind him - see lot 21.

Lot 10 - Mt Mable 1551

This bull has stood out since weaning. Dam and Grand dam sound robust cows and both scanned in calf again this year - 234 r 13.

Lot 11 - Mt Mable 1547

This scanned very well and we think he represents our breeding ideals pretty well.

Lot 16 - Mt Mable 1564

If you are looking for easy keeping females then this bull is the one for the job.

Lot 21 - Mt Mable 1502

A moderate bull from a very productive cow line. Should do well under any farming system.

Lot 23 - Mt Mable 1556

Calm and quiet quality bull for first up in this mob. His dam is a full sister to our herd sire Mt Mable Max 327.

Lot 24 - Mt Mable 1590

Another bull from the impressive Abba line - youngest bull on offer. Will be hard to go past.

Lot 25 - Mt Mable 1510

First calf for Hunter 882 who traces her line back to flush dam 190. Consistent actual scanning for all the traits measured.

Lot 27 - Mt Mable 1586

This is Fame 499's third bull. The first two have sold well to repeat buyers. Well worth consideration.

Lot 29 - Mt Mable 1523

Taimate Vintage has left them meaty and this bull no exception.

Annual Sale Information

A sale of rising two year old bulls is held annually at Pukerimu Station. This is usually the first Monday following the New Zealand Queens Birthday weekend in June. Mt Mable has had an annual sale on the property since 1986. Prior to this Mt Mable bulls were sold at a combined sale in Taumarunui. There have also been a number of bulls sold at the National Show and Sale – more latterly known as Beef Expo. The most notable of these was an Atahua Legacy son sold to Pine Park and Dandaloo studs in 1995 and a Kaharau Mast 189 son sold in 2010 to Turihaua Angus.

Inspection of Mt Mable cattle is invited and welcomed. Anyone wishing to visit would need to call first as it is not often that we are not out on the property for much of the day. A quick phone call will also see you put on our mailing list for a catalogue and there will be an online catalogue on the web site from the middle of May of each year.

Mt Mable bulls are delivered free of charge within the North Island and travel as far as Kaikohe to their new homes. Bulls will be delivered at the Vendor’s earliest convenience.
