Headed out to Mt Mable Angus to film ahead of their 41st annual bull sale, and it didn’t take long to see why they’ve built such a strong following over the years.
Last season was a standout, with strength right through the draft and a big portion of bulls going to repeat buyers—some families have been coming back for close to 40 years, which says a lot about the consistency of the program.
We also touched on where the beef industry is heading. With global supply tightening, particularly out of the US and Australia, the outlook is looking strong for the next few years. But despite that, the focus at Mt Mable hasn’t changed—fertility and structural soundness remain at the core, with ongoing improvements in carcass performance layered on top.
This year’s lineup includes some exciting bulls, with a new homebred sire, Mt Mable Taser, coming through strongly alongside proven genetics already in the herd.
If you’re in the market, it’s well worth getting along for a look.
